Old Bridge High School Esports
The OBKnightsEsport Program is a comprehensive, school-wide initiative designed to support students both competitively and personally through esports. The program includes varsity and JV teams competing across three sport seasons in Garden State Esports, giving students a traditional sports-like experience with structured practices, official matches, varsity letters, and pathways to college play and scholarships. Beyond competition, the Esports Club provides an inclusive space for streaming, content creation, and casual gaming for students who want to participate without the pressure of competition. During the school day, students can enroll in Esports I: Career-Oriented Disciplines in Esports and Esports II: Esports Personal & Performance Improvement, both using GSE curriculum to explore careers, teamwork, and performance. Across all areas of the program, esports is used as a powerful tool for social-emotional learning, helping students build communication skills, confidence, resilience, leadership, and positive peer relationships in a structured, supportive environment—empowering them to grow as teammates, students, and individuals.
