Old Bridge High School is excited to host a 2v2 Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Tournament on Saturday, March 28th, bringing together middle school and high school esports programs for a full day of competitive Smash and community gaming.
This event will follow Garden State Esports (GSE) SSBU rulesets, with all matches played as Best-of-5 sets in a 2v2 format.

Arrival: 8:00 AM
Competition Begins: 9:00 AM
8:00 AM – Team Check-In / Setup
9:00 AM – 11:00 AM – Pool / Pod Play
11:00 AM – 12:00 PM – Lunch Break
12:00 PM – 3:00 PM – Top Cut Bracket (Finish)
Teams will first compete in pools/pods. The top teams from each pool will advance to a single-elimination bracket to determine final placements.

Schools may enter as many teams of 2 as they like

Each team is guaranteed a minimum of 2 matches

Who can compete?
Middle school and high school teams are welcome to enter. All competitors must be affiliated with a school and accompanied by a coach.
How many teams can a school enter?
Schools may enter as many teams of two as they would like. Each team requires its own $10 entry fee.
What is the tournament format?
Teams will compete in pools/pods first. Top teams from each pool will advance to a Top Cut single-elimination bracket. All sets are Best-of-5 using GSE SSBU rulesets.
Are teams guaranteed matches?
Yes. Every team is guaranteed a minimum of two matches.
What time should we arrive?
Arrival and check-in is at 8:00 AM. Pool play begins at 9:00 AM.
Do coaches need to attend?
Yes. Coaches MUST be present for their teams to compete. No coach = no competition.

How do we pay?
Checks payable to Old Bridge High School or Venmo @Robvweiss (last four digits 6622). Please include your school name and number of teams in the payment note.

Is food available?
Yes. A snack stand will be available. Pizza can be pre-ordered prior to the event for lunch.

Yes. Casual stations will be available for friendlies, including N64 Smash and Super Smash Bros. Melee.
What controllers are allowed?
Standard tournament-legal controllers are allowed. Players are encouraged to bring their own controllers.
